The location was great for what we wanted.

The noise from the wedding reception. The windows need to be better at keeping noise out.

Lovely place

Staff were friendly, the bar was buzzing when we arrived, quite clearly well-frequented. The room was round the back, so you couldn't hear any of the noise going on at the bar. The room was clean, as was the shower room.

It's not the owners fault, but we barely got any sleep the one night we stayed. The person in the next room along from us had been drinking, and come 1AM he was letting everyone know about how awful he felt. He passed out after an hour, then woke again to remind us all that he wasn't feeling any better yet. Didn't get back to sleep until 4AM. We needed to be back on the road again at 6AM, so it was a really rough night sleep.

Location very handy for M6 & having both a pub & cafe on site gives options for food whatever time you arrive. I have been before & love the rooms with a lakeside view especially as you can also sit at table & chairs outside your room if weather is good.

Some parts in the room needed attention like the dust on the curtain poles & cobwebs. At the bottom of the bed on the carpet there were bits & by legs of the tv unit which the vacuuming had not picked up. Needs a nozzle around legs of furniture & feet of bed. Area if the grey carpet near patio door is grubby & carpet needs a clean. These bits let down the rest of the accommodation which otherwise is really nice. (Had a new rug by the patio door but 2 plastic tags from the label left sticking out & need cutting off - these little things will make a massive difference.

The location was good for what I needed it for. The property was nice with a pub and cafe with a few bespoke shops and a small pond with ducks etc. the room was clean and tidy. It was nice and relaxing sitting outside the cafe next to the pond and watching the wildlife.

Paint peeling off the bathroom ceiling, toilet seat wouldn't stay up, cobwebs in the bedroom and the TV wouldn't play some of the channels and kept losing signal. The pub had a very limited menu. The mattress was very soft and a bit lumpy
