Beautiful setting and room Home-cooked breakfast by the manor owners - absolutely delicious and very plentiful! filling in the form to choose next mornings breakfast was so fun! :) Most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on!

The manor is beautiful and our room was exceptional - very comfortable bed, a big room and a big bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub. The room looked exactly like the photos, maybe even better - which is not a common occurrence in my experience. I was surprised by the price compared to the small, cramped rooms you could book in Windermere. If you drive and have a car, I would only recommend to stay here! The little town of Hawkshead is also very cozy and has a few great pubs, shops for home made marmalade, honey and gingerbread! Of course, the hospitality of our hosts had been an absolute highlight of our stay (as well as the breakfast - it’s amazing and the portions are generous and freshly made by the hosts in the morning!).

Little bit of a walk uphill out of the village, so bit dark on a night time walking back, but the hosts provided torches which was extremely helpful. Not too bad a walk if you are mobile
