"Perfect relaxing break away"

Lovely quiet location, beautiful room/building. Sue & Richard were great, friendly hosts and they cook a great breakfast. Clean spacious room, comfy large bed and a nice big bath. 2/3 min walk to Hawkshead centre. Perfect for a relaxing few days away.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Walker Ground Manor. The Manor House is stunning, full of character, beautifully maintained, and rich with period features that give it so much charm. Sue and Richard were fantastic hosts: warm, welcoming, and full of helpful local knowledge. The location is super peaceful and perfectly placed for exploring the local area. Breakfast was a real highlight, with an amazing variety of options, all beautifully prepared and of exceptional quality. We really couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommended!

Noticed there was a bit of a ‘dip’ in one side of the four poster bed mattress; but I am a rather fussy sleeper. Other than that everything was fantastic.

"We had a lovely time in this delightful B & B and just wish it was closer."

The property was located in a quiet location, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, greeting us with tea and cake on arrival. Our room was delightful and spotlessly clean. We liked the fact that the room was very much ours for the duration of our stay and that we were not disturbed. We both slept well, as the bed was very comfortable.and the bathroom just luxurious. We had a fantastic stay at Walker Ground Manor and have taken away some wonderful memories.
