"Fabulous"

The room was amazing. We were greeted with homemade cake. Breakfast was outstanding! We were only there for one night but were made to feel so welcome. A wonderful place to stay

"A great base in the Lake District"

Walker Ground Manor is in a great location. Firstly it is set in a lovely garden, after that it is a very short to Hawkshead, which has good shops, pubs and restaurants. It’s also well placed for walking, with a path into Grizedale Forest just outside the door. Sue and Richard are lovely hosts, really looking after you, with a welcoming drink and cake and a great selection at breakfast. The house is comfortable, spacious and clean.

Amazing building with amazing host, I have never been in a guest house or hotel that was so clean, absolutely spotless and the bathroom was breathtaking. Breakfast was great and nothing was too much bother for the owners

"Very comfortable and easy going."

Hosts were really nice, greeted with tea and cakes, hosts were very informative. Food was exceptional. Would definitely recommend the manor. I was there with my sister and we both were very pleased we booked this b and b, there was wine glasses provided if you wanted to drink wine also tea coffee and cakes, you could ask for more if required, there was a fridge outside the room to keep your drinks cold. Very well run from ordering breakfast the night before, would stay there again.

The little lane up to the manor, it was very narrow.

The location was excellent The room was excellent and extremely comfortable bed. The breakfast choice was immense and did nothing to help your wasteline The breakfast was freshly cooked and extremely tasty and nothing was skimped The hosts made you welcome and were knowledgeable about the area The house and grounds were impressive The tea/ coffee and cake on arrival was a nice touch and the cake was delicious

We would not want to change anything as it would detract from the pleasure of staying here.
