The Barnsbury House

The location and view were both good. The rooms were also clean and comfortable.

The included breakfast was, however, not very good. The pancakes were cold, the coffee was late, the food didn’t arrive at the same time and was staggered in a way that we had to have eggs on their own and sausage in their own, etc.

Everything is okay, nothing is exceptional. The location is a bit far away, but we visited during vessak poya days so it was actually really appreciated since we were far from the chaos of the city

The room is very basic

Facilities are good in the room with lake views. Although its quiet small, but didn't bothered for us.

Breakfast could be improved and water glasses wasn't well cleaned

The minor staff was very pleasant, helpful and gave maximum they could.

However, the manager of the property was very unfriendly to the extent that he gave the impression that we were not welcome there. If this was due to us being Sri Lankans then this is utterly discriminatory and racist. The owners should send him to at least a basic hospitality industry management course.

The staff here are superb especially Vikky and the manager. It's a small homestay of sorts rather a bungalow that has a team to take care of the guests. They team is very warm and welcoming and will look to provide solutions. We had some issues with the warm water they ensured to resolve it. The breakfast was hearty
