USWelcoming staff, location, look of entrance. Shower and towels were quite nice.
Breakfast room was on 2nd floor, crowded, and dingy with unremarkable food offerings. Didn’t even bother second day. Our room was on the first floor street level and could have been made into something really special, but huge curtains had to be strung over the windows so that nobody could look in. Couldn’t look out tho either so room was dark, and bright track lighting to make up for it was icky. Light at entryway was out when we checked in so we had to fumble with key and lock in the dark to access room. (to their credit, mgmt. fixed next day). Overall, this is a classy old hotel with good bones but much maintenance has been deferred and it shows.
USThis is a quirky old hotel, so perhaps not for everyone, but I’m a fan of the offbeat…loved the history and decor, including the creaky floorboards and separate tap sinks. The location is fantastic and staff very friendly and helpful.
As w any vintage hotel a few things could’ve been in slightly better repair…nothing major. The one thing that was inconvenient was using the community Kuerig coffee maker set up in the breakfast area…there was no way to fill the water chamber without taking it off the machine, going to your room w it, filling it from the sink tap and then bringing it back. A pitcher of water on the breakfast table would’ve been perfect.
USDid not feel like a standard hotel, more of a quaint little apt, in downtown silver city. very cozy, and walkable to most restaurants.

CAUSThe location worked well for us with restaurants close by.
Themed was very uncomfortable. The traffic throughout the night was noisy. The staff was non existent after check in and in the morning. There was no breakfast. Parking on the street was not ideal
USI absolutely love the historic furniture and building. It is like stepping back in time.
Staff is only available at certain times of the day at the front desk.
