I've stayed in many Ryokan all over Japan and this place exceeded my expectations. The room size was large. Location was perfect, walking distance to all the island attractions and ferry. The entire hotel was a stylish mix of modern concrete with traditional touches of wood, tatami and artwork. The quality, taste and presentation of the meals was excellent. Some Ryokan go more for 'the wow factor ' than the eating experience, but their chef has perfected this. Everything was just so comfortable, relaxing and friendly. This was the perfect break from our busy trip around Japan.

We were sad to leave after only 2 nights. Next time we will try to stay for 3 ...

"Nice reasonably priced ryokan stay"

Affordable traditional ryokan stay compared to other ryokan I was looking at. Very reasonable for the price. We were able to book private onsen for no additional cost. Breakfast and dinner kaiseki tasted lovely. Short walk to torii gate

Unsure of whether i got food poisoning from the dinner unfortunately... but I did wake up the next morning throwing up sadly. My partner also needed to take a business call and so we asked if it was ok to check out just 15 minutes late and they were very strict saying no. Staff proceeded to check with us several times making sure we would be out at 10 on the dot. He ended up having to take the meeting in the lobby which we understand if it's policy but just found it to be quite strict.

Great location, beautiful view from our room. Lovely public onsen. Good amenities.

Extremely expensive for what the room was. Old towels, not so friendly staff. Basic setup. Five star price for a two star accommodation.

Superbe emplacement sur l’île de Miyajima, en retrait de la foule et avec une très belle vue. Excellent accueil Dîner très copieux et original avec les produits locaux Très belle superficie de la chambre pour le Japon

Personnel très accueillant et hôtel idéalement situé à proximité du ferry et du torii.

Hôtel légèrement désuet mais participe à son charme. Les lavabos de salle de bain extrêmement bas.
