Miyajima Hotel Makoto

Central location, wonderful large traditional room, comfortable futons, public bath, dinner and breakfast was superb! It was walking distance to Ferry and all sites which we could also visit during the night. Staff were friendly and kind.

Dining hall and tables were western style. Understandable as they cater to large groups as well but would have been nicer if it were traditional japanese style setting more suitable for the food presentation.

Valuable stay!

The hotel was perfect! The staff were extremely kind and attentive. The room was beautiful and cozy, the futon was very comfortable, the yukatas were very comfortable and beautiful. The traditional Japanese breakfast was also delicious!! And the onsen was very nice and relaxing. It was very well located, at walking distance from everything. It was an incredible experience to stay at the Miyajima Makoto Hotel. We will definitely be returning!!

I don't find traditional Japanese floor beds particularly comfortable.

Japanese room with toilet and bathroom, nice sunset view from the room. Staff were friendly and always with warm greeting. Hotel was walking distance fr ferry terminal with a small slope up to the hotel.

Seul ryokan de notre séjour, nous avons apprécié la découverte d'un hébergement traditionnel. La chambre était belle avec vue sur le tori au loin. Nous avions choisi la formule avec dîner, belle découverte même si pas tout à fait à nos goûts.

Le dîner et le petit déjeuner sont servis dans une grande salle sans aucun charme, sur des trop grandes tables rondes. Pour le petit déjeuner il n'y a que la version japonaise, y compris pour les enfants alors, même quand on veut découvrir les traditions, au réveil le poisson c'est pas facile . Et ce que je regrette c'est surtout le gâchis que ça génère.
