Beach front apartment

Die Lage an der Strandpromenade, Nähe zu einigen hübschen Lokalen, Restaurants. Gute Anbindung mit den Öffis ins Zentrum. Ausstattung für Selbstversorger im Apartment ist gut (haben wir selber nicht genutzt). Das Apartment selber ist recht hübsch eingerichtet. In Wohnzimmer und Schlafzimmer gibt es je einen großen Fernseher.

Der Eingangsbereich zum Apartment ist ziemlich heruntergekommen und übelst verraucht. Was die Sauberkeit im Apartment selber anbelangt, hatten wir offenbar Pech (zumindest im Vergleich zu den vorangegangenen Bewertungen?). Bei unserer Ankunft lagen im gesamten Apartment die Hundehaare der Vormieter herum, welche ich dann selber entfernt habe (es gab Gott sei Dank einen Staubsauger). Auch fanden wir noch die benutzten Handtücher vor. Auf Nachfrage beim Vermieter Matthew erhielten wir prompt frische Handtücher (auch wenn diese von der Geruchsbeurteilung her eine ausgiebige 60 Grad Wäsche benötigt hätten). Positiv zu bewerten wäre die gute Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter, der unsere Anliegen ernst genommen hat. Wieder kommen würde ich trotzdem nicht mehr.

The property was comfortable and had all our home comforts! The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed! A lovely comfortable sofa in the lounge area with a large flat screen tv on the wall! The WiFi was excellent and there was another large tv in the bedroom! The bed was really comfortable - the best we had on our tour round Scotland! The outside balcony area was a really lovely outdoor space and we enjoyed sitting out there! Portabello area has a lovely vibe and we enjoyed the beach walk and shops! We never use public transport at home - but we did here! It's so incredibly easy ! The bus stop is on the main road and buses into Edinburgh city centre were constant. Once into Edinburgh - we also enjoyed the hop on buses to see all the tourist sights- we had an amazing day there and then used the buses back to Portobello! The owner of the property was extremely responsive to messages and so helpful! We loved this modern apartment and highly recommend it!

Communal stairs - but don't let them put you off! Once inside - the apartment is fantastic!

Nice apartment and comfortable, well equipped and a good base for exploring Portobello and Edinburgh city centre. We especially liked the balcony.

The shower tray was too shallow so the water quickly filled up the tray which made it more difficult to shower. The actual shower was great though.

Portobello is a lovely town. Great bus route to & from city centre. Local shops, pubs etc. Host Matthew very helpful.

Bathroom was nice and clean. Shower in the property was easy to use and nice and hot. Had a big screen TV in the living area and comfortable seating. Was easy to get the bus into Edinburgh from the property. Close to the beach

Would have been useful to have had written information about wi-fi, cutlery and recommendations for places to eat out on hand
