Beach front apartment

Very good location next to the sea ....very clean and close to the center

Unbeatable location seconds from the beach and a couple of minutes from the high street. Frequent buses make it easy to get to and from the city centre. Cosy bedroom and very comfortable sofa. Quiet building. Our second time staying here, and we’ll hopefully be back. Dislikes are only minor niggles that could be easily resolved.

The stairway has the smell of stale smoke but thankfully this doesn’t impact the apartment. I’d feel safer with a chain or bolt on the door. The microwave is difficult to use as hidden away in the cupboard. We were lucky to have very warm sunny weather - so provision of an electric fan would have made for a more comfortable night.

Good location with ample free parking. A good and comfortable base for exploring Portobello.

The communal areas smelt quite badly (though this didn’t permeate the apartment itself). I wouldn’t say it is “beach front” as it isn’t on the actual front, though only a 2 minute walk.

Great location, easy to get into Edinburgh by bus or taxi and close to the beach at Portobello. Good communication from the owner and comfy bed. Well equipped and big enough for 2 people for a couple of nights.

Agree with a number of the other reviews. Externally and in the communal areas the property isn't great (I can see why there are no external photos) and it isn't beachfront (only one row back only but still not beachfront) But the biggest issue is the shower drainage. We had to plunge the plughole before and during showers or it would overflow. The plunger brought up lots of dirt and hair so I think it needs a full clearance for future guests.

The apartment is PERFECTLY located, just off the promenade, and very close to Portobello High Street. Our host was exceptionally helpful when we had a couple of questions. The apartment is highly suitable for a couple, and we had our dog too, and there was plenty of space for us. The decor is modern and uncluttered, the sofa is great, and the kitchen is well fitted and has (nearly!) everything we needed. There were plenty of towels, toilet rolls, bits and pieces eg teabags etc, in the cupboards and the apartment is very clean.

We really enjoyed staying at this apartment, so I have no complaints about any aspect of the accommodation. The balcony was a welcome additional feature, but would benefit from some tlc. We couldn't find an ironing board, but I'm sure there was one, and my husband couldn't find a corkscrew, which I thought was hilarious, as he had to look at a bottle of wine, rather than drink it! A dog water bowl would have been useful, but we had brought our own, so it wasn't an issue. I feel confident, based on the response to other queries made, that our host would have responded to questions about these items, so I mention them only as a heads up to anyone for whom the absence of any of these items would be a problem.

The apartment is very cozy, very tidy, and immaculate in all sorts,Also, the neighborhood is quiet, safe, and peaceful. Lastly, we really had our best time enjoying just like feeling at home is already a 5-star. It’s near the bus stop, restaurants, and Aldi as well.The owner of the apartment has been very kind assisting us the first day we came until the last day, he’s easy to access through his mobile for any queries. This property is highly recommended for everyone! :)) (the ocean and mountain view is a bonus!)
