Location

Price, somehow found us a room with zero view, despite being completely surrounded with fab outlook at £138 for 1 night, was told breakfast would be extra, would have thought at £138 it should have been included, for another£20 for 2 of us, we could have breakfast , ok, turned out to be small yoghurt, kids packet of cereal , iffy looking pastries, which have nothing to do with breakfast, coffee machine which didn't work properly and tasted lousy when finally persuaded to produce something, we and other guests could see hotplate, clearly for sausages bacon eggs etc, and waited in vain for something happening but wasn't going to happen, goodness kniwsxwhat that would have cost, so, in total £158 for 1 night for 2 people in small room with zero view and pathetic excuse for breakfast.

"lovely place"

Lovely setting in a great village. Lovely food at reasonable prices. Comfy bed.

Weather had changed so room was a bit cold especially the bathroom. ran out of lager but hey ho its a community pub so mustn't grumble.

I thought the staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble

As I was slightly disabled I found the shower in the bath difficult to get into, as you couldn't move the shower screen into the bath due to Bath handle or outwards due to wash basin. I probably should have asked beforehand if they had a room with a standalone shower, or make sure before booking.

The community atmosphere and warm members of staff made up for the basic facilities. The bath and unlimited hot water was a big a big plus.

Staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating after we succumbed to heavy rains at the campsite the night before. The room was spotless and comfortable and we had dinner in the evening that was amazing, I need the recipe for the lasagne. They even gave as a bigger room to house out dog Pip which was a cheaper room than booked. Thank you all for being amazing on our first trip to Arran ❤️
