Chadham Pines Cottage

Property was very clean and lovely location. Bookings contact was extremely helpful and responsive when we had questions on the WiFi/ tv and issues with exiting the property in the morning.

Property was not really a cottage more a garden summer house. Felt very awkward letting ourselves in as no clear signage that we were in the right place and looked like we were walking into someone’s back garden. Property should have been clearly sign posted there was no sign for the cottage on the road, at the garden gate entrance or even on the property! No welcome pack with WiFi details or instructions on the tv. Beds only had a sheet on the mattresses, no mattress protector and the sheet wasn’t fitted so did not stay in place so ended up sleeping directly on the mattress. Key fob for electric gate didn’t work in the morning so were unable to exit the property had to call the owner from the intercom on the gate.

the location, property and ambience was nice. its a great place. but seems one of the host doesn't like people to be there.

the host (a male) was too rude with our daughters aged 10 and 12. while they walked around the property. there were no signages and they as kids moved around. we are surprised how booking .com can suggest such places where the host is battling with little kids and being too rude with them. Seems one partner is for business and other is making it difficult for her. the way he shouted was more like someone trespassing and the little kids were spellbound and in stress. this spoiled our whole journey and experience. this is too much for a host to treat a guest and we would have appreciated a polite way of explaining if they have moved to open spaces which was not part of the facility provided. I sincerely seek booking.com to take appropriate action and expect an apology for this rude behavior.

Mattress on the double bed was poor. A little fridge would be a bonus

Perfect location. Felt very rural even though 10 mins walk to perfect beach. Loved the peace and quiet. It is a cottage in a garden, but I wasn't disturbed by the owners. So peaceful. Very comfy bed. Very homely for dog. Stayed in the winter and the beaches rare quiet and just great for dog walking. Lots of really lovely places to eat close by.

The code to change the TV channel was slightly irritating. Would suggest providing some hand gel or hand wash.
