First time glamping and really enjoyed it. It was so quiet there

No complaints but could have more variety for food.

"Overall, an expensive stay but a nice treat and glamping experience."

8.0

We had the most comfortable sleep last weekend with the sound of rain on the tent. The effort put into providing quality duvets, pillows, and beds really showed, and we were delighted with the comfort. However, the cleaning could have been more thorough. Finding a previous guest’s used earplug under the bed was unpleasant but not a deal breaker. Lined bin for muddy boots and picnic basket was handy. The main issue was the lack of signage. From the main road we ended up at Westport House, then had to double back to the sign fr Gracy’s restaurant (no sign for glamping/camping) and eventually ask staff at the adventure centre for directions. A helpful staff member guided us to the glamping office, but when I mentioned the poor signage to the glamping office staff, the response was simply, “that is because we are all down here.”! On the positive side, the shower and toilet block were clean and well-lit at night. We didn’t get to use it because of the torrential rain, but the BBQ area outside the tent looked great. Didnt use it but the kitchen prep area looked basic. Rec room had fridge to stock milk and bits if you had them. Gracys restaurant was grand, nice staff and handy playground adjacent to it so kids could play while we ate. Overall, an expensive stay but a nice treat and glamping experience.

There’s no option to buy early breakfast onsite if you have early risers, so we drove into Westport to Served (fantastic), but didn’t return to the glamping afterwards. Also, no information was provided about the new sauna and plunge pool area. We would have brought gear if it had been listed in the facilities. Gracys restaurant didn't open until 12 and confusion from staff about what time the coffee shop opened.
