No combie boiler no hot water on arrival , long mirror needed

We stayed over with my partner and children needing somewhere to stay for a wedding we attended. The apartment was lovely, very spacious and clean. Had everything we needed for the overnight stay. The beds were comfy too. Very happy with the stay. Communication between myself and the host was very good and responses were fast.

This property is nothing like the photos shown on the booking.com website it is in a very unsafe area, the building looked unkempt along with the graffiti on the outside saying it is a good place to dye!! There is no positives at all !

The front door security lock was broken and disgusting poor cleanliness of the entrance, the stairwell and the apartment! There was un eaten food in the freezer and cupboards and microwave and facilities were grimy, the beds were not clean and smelled of body odour!

Seriously needs some TLC and a repaint. So many reviews have stated that the front door does not close and the lock was lying on the floor when we arrived, please get this fixed!!! Beds were ok, pillows flat. Wouldn’t stay for more than one night.

Mattress was comfortable. Rooms spacious.

As per review of 09/04/24 3 weeks ago communal front door lock for block of 6 flags it’s on remains broken. Door flaps open in the wind so anyone passing can wander in and upstairs where flat has son’e door lock. Outside pavements covered in broken bottles stones and rubbish. Due to single glazed windows even in early evening a lot of noise from police cars passing by on the road next door and round the roundabout opposite front windows. Same noise during night disrupting sleep. Inside found flat shard of broken glass on living room floor. A lot of dirty marks on walls and minor things damaged like a window blind in living room. Suggested butter and milk etc on arrival meant a half eaten butter and half drunk milk bottle. Seriously considered option of binning off all plans for next day locally and driving 120 miles home to avoid spending a Saturday night here wondering who might decide to wander up through the open front door and try the doors of the flats (some clearly empty currently) in the middle of the night. Guess it’s ok for a group of adults sharing and not bothered by that but doesn’t feel like safe building to stay in with children and « delightful.. » May have been true some time ago but doesn’t match with the reality currently.
