Boscastle Quaint Cornish Fishermans Cottage

The cottage is absolutely perfect! Everything needed for a home away from home is available and the cottage is decorated to an extremely high standard. The village is picture-perfect: beautiful walks along cliffs, excellent breakfast in Toby Jug cafe and the Cobwebs inn is a great local pub - friendly staff and excellent Guinness! We will definitely be returning 👍

There was nothing to dislike .... Well, maybe the walk back up to the cottage from the village 🤣

The cottage was immaculate and we really appreciated that we were able to book it for just two (midweek) nights, so much better (and cheaper) than a hotel room! Loved that our hosts left a cream tea, and a pint of milk in the fridge, neither of which we expected for a very short break. The cottage was very comfortable and very warm, without needing to light the log fire which was also thoughtfully provided.

Though the bath was lovely, the overhead shower wasn't great. The (very hot, which is good) water was on a pump so supply pulsed rather than being continuous. Fine for a bath, but this did compromise the shower, as the flow alternated between hot and cold. That said, this is a very old cottage with old plumbing, and some eccentricity is to be expected. This minor issue wouldn't stop us booking here again as first choice for a short break.

Lovely cottage, great facilities. Very clean, welcoming, even a cream tea in the fridge. Heartily reccomend.
