Tairua Garden Hideaway - Homestay with Private Room

Très belle maison avec un intérieur très bien décoré, et des chiens adorables. Facile à trouver très bien indiqué par l'hôte, avec des places de parking en face de la maison.

J'ai dormi dans la cabane dans le jardin, qui a des lits confortables, mais n'est pas du tout isolé. Le soir il fait très chaud à cause du soleil toute la journée, la nuit et le matin il fait très froid, à part l'été je pense que c'est invivable. Un petit radiateur serait bien, mais isolé la cabane serait bien mieux, ça permettrait aussi de moins entendre les poules le matin.

So first of the all the host, Penny, is incredibly welcoming of new guests. Her two dogs were so well behaved and curious when we first arrived, and were such a welcome sight since I am missing my pets a lot at home. Her garden is also spectacular, with so many interesting features and flowers. We tried the Santa Maria pizza place right opposite which was also 10/10.

Nothing, we’d 100% stay there again if we revisited the area.

The location was great and the garden was a nice area to be in. The beds were comfortable and the room was a nice temperature. The shower and bathroom were so cute!

The kitchen was a little limited due to being outside. It was a bit annoying to have to walk inside to use the bathroom during the night as well.

I enjoyed my stay in the twin cabin. The bed was comfortable and everything I needed was just a few steps away. The barbecue area had more than I expected, including a small stovetop. The bathroom was clean. You are right in the town centre, but as you're in the backyard behind the house, there is no noise at night. Perfect place for a night or a few.

As a home stay, you benefit from a cheaper price and staying with locals. There was space in the room and the outdoor kitchen and area can be used, although that may not be that nice if the weather isn't nice making the area for your stay then rather restricted to your room. My room was in one of the outdoor buildings, at the back of the garden, which may not be for everyone, especially if you will need facilities during the night.

The hosts kept to themselves, which is alright in a way, but it also felt a bit strange not quite knowing if they wanted to talk more or not.

Un petit chauffage aurait été apprécié dans la chambre car pas de coin pour manger à l'intérieur à part la chambre... Mais avec les plaids nous n'avons pas eu froid la nuit ☺️
