Rivendell Twisted Tree

Mon mari est tombé amoureux de l'endroit...il a adoré le chemin bucolique pour y arriver. Il a adoré la quiétude de l'endroit, l'architecture typique srilankaise ( on a presque la même photo dans le lonely Planet), le jardin est magnifiquement entretenu et la piscine est chaude et super. Le repas du soir était très bon. On avait le choix entre 4 déjeuners et c'est bien la première fois qu'on nous le demande. On a fait une partie de billard, on s'est promené le long de la jolie rivière attenante à ce magnifique domaine et on a assisté à.u' combat entre un varan et un grand serpent de l' autre côté du rivage. Il y avait beaucoup d'oiseaux. Le monsieur qui s'est occupé de nous était charmant, pardon de ne pas avoir retenu le prénom :=)) Le tout pour un prix hyper démocratique car il y avait une belle réduction. Un grand merci pour cette étape magnifique d'une nuit.

Rivendell twisted tree What an incredibly beautiful place this is. When I arrived I could barely exit the taxi, as I was feeling incredibly sick. The chef supported me while I walked towards a chair. During our stay I needed to rest and stay in bed. Everyday the owner of the residence called to check up on me and offered me a dokter. It felt like he genuinely cared. So did the other staff members who were super attentive and made sure I didn’t lack anything. I can’t highlight it enough, the surroundings here are amazing. The perfect place to relax in the nature while being looked after by great staff.

Finally the WiFi signal wasn’t the best but who needs WiFi with those surroundings;)

Fantastic surroundings full of wildlife. Nice refreshing pool and lovely maintained gardens. The staff, especially Wajira were attentive and could not do enough to ensure we had a comfortable stay. This really is a hidden gem!

The rooms could do with a few more facilities such as a kettle and fridge.

A great stop between Negombo and Anuradhapura. Lovely setting, spacious rooms and food was really good. Pool added a special touch to an enjoyable stay. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed in this peaceful, nature-filled retreat. The resort is beautifully located alongside a gently flowing river, surrounded by greenery, and our room overlooked a charming, refreshing little pool – a true slice of paradise. What truly made our stay special was the staff. And especially Whadire – the shining star of Rivendell! His friendliness, courtesy, and genuine care are truly exceptional. Whether you have a question, need advice, or just want a chat, Whadire is always there with a warm smile. He absolutely deserves extra credit. What a gem! We also booked a massage during our stay, and it was nothing short of fantastic. Deep relaxation, carried out with such care and professionalism – we felt completely renewed.

The rooms are simple yet cozy. There isn’t a mini fridge in the room, but there is a shared fridge available for all guests, which works just fine. Two bottles of water would be fine.

Beautiful surroundings. Lotus pond. Watching birds, wild pigs, mongoose, giant squirrel and others. Staff were really lovely. Food good. Nice to have a game of pool.

We liked everything. The other guests were pleasant also.

This place is perfect. Its a real hidden gem, i would have stayed a lot longer if i knew how good it was. The service was pretty good and the communication with the owner was easy and he arranged everything we needed. I reccomend to stay here for a couple of days and enjoy the pool and the wildlife around the property

A very cosy and clean get away for the family. The staff ,especially the owner , were very friendly and helpful. The Location was good especially if you are in between visits to major tourist attractions.
