"A hidden gem"

Arrived early and with a warm welcome. Owner and manager both came to welcome us. The swimming pool was very welcoming after our drive up from Negombo by Tuk Tuk. The manager offered the use of the pool while they finished the room prep, within a few minutes of getting in the pool I was greeted with an ice cold beer. What a beautiful surrounding to swim, sit and sip a cold beer.

"Highly recommend this tranquil and cosy guest house."

Rivendell Twisted Tree provided the perfect quiet and beautiful place to integrate directly after an intense yoga retreat less than an hour from the guest house. The open shared lounge/dining room was extremely cosy and comforting just like being at home. The bed and pillows with fresh white linen were very comfortable. The home cooked Dahl was delicious and I really liked that I could help myself to endless cold water from the water station. The pool was dreamy, surrounded by lush lawn and close to the house with wide verandahs and large gazebo close by. I didn't realise when I booked that the whole setting was next to a peaceful river that's flow could be heard at it passed downstream over rocks in the river bed. The warm, friendly service I received from Vajira, Abbey, Sudharshani and Sila was very welcome and greatly appreciated. I would certainly return if I were to travel in that vicinity in the future.

A special place in the countryside. The staff are welcoming & helpful, a beautiful pool and lovely gardens. A retreat from a busy life. Dinner & breakfast we’re surprisingly delicious as we only booked a couple of hours before arrival.

We found it a bit difficult to locate but we did & it was worth getting lost👍
