Birmingham City Centre 2-Bed with Private Balcony

The property is located in Birmingham City Centre, which provides convenient access to the surrounding area and the area has a cinema, bowling, climbing, and golf, for when you want to escape the flat.

The check-in process was bad. Instructions referenced a video guide that was not provided, leaving us to guess the correct entrance and try various wrong flats. The entrance to the flats are uninviting and unclean, with a neighbouring flat’s broken window adding to a sense of neglect and feeling unsafe, which was particularly troubling as we were travelling with children. Inside, the property had noticeable issues with upkeep: crumpled bed sheets, a stained tea towel with holes, and a dirty flannel and glove left in the en-suite drawers. The en-suite shower drained slowly, the radiator in the main bathroom didn’t work (leaving it freezing), and reed diffusers masked a faint unpleasant odour. Dirty cupboards, dragging curtains, and makeshift doorstops further reflected a lack of attention to detail. The lounge sofa and beds were extremely uncomfortable. The listing is misleading in some key areas at the time of my booking. The swimming pool and spa services are NOT on-site but part of a separate gym requiring booking and extra payment—yet prominently featured in the photos and described as "1-hour spa access per person, per day." Parking, was defined as private, was actually a public car park with no exclusive arrangements and required payment. These inaccuracies created disappointment and were avoidable with clearer descriptions. The property has since responded to my feedback and assured me that they are working on addressing these issues but I see not evidence of that and many unacceptable excuses. If you're after comfort, cleanliness and safety, I'd highly recommend avoiding it.

Enjoyed the apartment because of how comfortable and spacious it was and how friendly the host was. Such a relaxing night with a beautiful view.

Don’t be fooled by the pictures on Booking.com. This is not an exceptional property and not the standard expected from Booking.com. Firstly, the accommodation is a private flat which is part of the residential section of the Broadway Plaza entertainment complex. The communal entrance, stairwells and lift were dirty (see photos). It was dirty, rubbish right outside the door, dangerous electrics (door-bell hanging off). There was food waste in the sink, bins were unemptied. The property smelt strongly of weed. Secondly, the property is engaging in false advertising. The listing states on-site facilities which include an indoor swimming pool, restaurant and private parking. The indoor pool, sauna and gym which feature prominently on the booking.com pages are nothing to do with the property and are, in fact, part of a private Nuffield gym and health centre in an entirely different building and there is an additional charge to use them. The listing states that private parking is available - but is actually a public multi-story carpark with no additional security. Thirdly, they are providing terrible customer service (a less generous description would be fraud) . We complained *as soon as we arrived* and we were offered a full refund. The property did not then provide any refund, subsequently ignored messages and are now deflecting and accusing us of causing a mess. We complained to Booking.com, but the property are still refusing to provide a refund. Avoid these fraudsters!
