Birmingham City Centre 2-Bed with Private Balcony

Great location, out of the green zone. Just a couple mins walk to Broad street and 25 mins walk to the Bull ring. Large bedroom. Lounge with balcony. Great communication with agent.

The bed was uncomfortable, very springy. Traffic noise but to be expected in a city. No hairdryer.

The location was good - short walking distance to town centre. Inside the apartment was clean. There was access to a nice pool at the health centre next door for a small fee.

It was overpriced for what was essentially very budget accommodation. There were a number of issues: - the electricity went off in the morning of our stay (it wasn't the fuse) the hosts were delayed in responding, didn't fix it, no apology - the main bed mattress was old and saggy and very uncomfortable - the blinds in both bedrooms didn't block out the light. There was a building night light right outside the small room so it was really bright and hard to sleep. - no washing up liquid or soap for bathrooms - the latch was broken on the door, only one lock which didn't feel very secure - The main building hallway was filthy with trash that had been dumped in the hallway and not cleared up. Not the hosts fault but the neighbours upstairs were making a lot of noise until gone 2am - the building itself had thin walls. If I had paid for and been expecting budget accommodation then I would have anticipated some of the above, but I think this property was miss-sold on the site as being far more luxury than it is. The pool appears to be part of the building- it's not- it is part of the gym next door. It is a good add-on to access for a small fee, but I think that should be made clear when booking.

The location is great close to the town centre, shops, and takeaways, with secure underground parking available for £12 a night. The place was easy to find thanks to the helpful host. The apartment itself is decent: it has a kitchen, a bedroom with two single beds, and a master bedroom with an en suite. The shower was nice. There’s a large TV in the living room; the remote is a bit worn but still works. The balcony is a nice touch for relaxing, although one of the seats was a bit unstable (no injuries, just worth noting).

The main downside was the building’s elevator being out of order, though that’s not the owner’s fault. The mattress could have been more comfortable, fine for a short stay though.

It was clean and tidy and quite pleasant inside. The people we had to ring if there was any problems responded swiftly and were very helpful

Poor information on how to find property and facilities Told to make our way to Mulligans Golf but no further instructions after that, and not obvious where the flats are from there. It would have been helpful for the instructions to explain you have to keep walking all around the outside of the golf place and turn left at the end to get to the entrance of the apartments. We got completely lost and ended up at the wrong place at first. There was little information about the parking area, part of which is for residents only and subject to a fine of £100 if you park in the wrong place. Little information about the Spa, no name and no information about facilities we had to find most of that out for ourselves. They power for the fridge needs to be switched on along with the washing machine, etc, at the control panel on the wall as you walk into the kitchen, but easy to miss so instructions or signage would have been useful in there. Not impressed with the high speed WiFi - the TV connection constantly kept breaking up, so could only watch streamed programs one of the remotes was broken. There were QR codes in every room for access to the free WiFi but none of them worked so had to get a password from the hosts Mainly I wouldn’t stay there again because of the poor security. There were codes to get into the building and for the key press for the apartment door but the door was only secured by a hotel room type lock, no security chain even though the door opened directly on to a public walkway. The door to the parking area under the building had been smashed and had not been made secure so anyone could access the building from the parking area as the lift from there gave access to all floors making the building entrance code superfluous. No fault of the property but there were piles of rubbish all over the place outside in the parking area and on the walkways to the flats.

More basic items need to be provided in the kitchen- glasses were dirty but there was no washing up liquid/ anti bac to clean up after yourselves. Door stop did not work on kitchen door, so very hot in there. Needs a little attention in the bathroom- smelt like trapped water.

Upon entering the property and having a look around inside the tv control is broken,the oven is dirty and smelt of fish, the bed sheets had hair and dust in them and the glass doors to the balcony are very dirty. Also, outside the front door, there was rubbish and the front mat was dirty. The neighbour front eidow was smashed and i did not like the feel of the area. After seeing all of this my partner and I had to make the decision to book into a hotel and asked the agent for a full refund which they have refused to do so, so I have contacted Booking.com to pursue this complaint. Please do not book this accommodation.

Location was the only positive

The accommodation wasn’t very clean, felt like student accommodation, the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever stayed in, the pool / gym facilities aren’t on site and across the complex In a local gym, poorly advertised personally as it makes out its high end stay but reality is it’s very very budget accommodation and facilities, towels were blue ish from over washing and water only ran cold in both bathrooms

We. Liked the situation. We were disappointed with the lack of cutlery and kitchen equipment. Only three forks instead of four. Could have done with a sieve or colander.

The location was great, host was friendly and helpful, apartment was beautiful with nice facilities. TV provides Netflix as long as you have an account.

The building was difficult to find because the website doesn't say the actual name of it. One of the rugs was stained and there was a bit of dust in places but nothing major.
