Birmingham City Centre 2-Bed with Private Balcony

Property is very central, compact, no frills but has everything you need. TVs didn’t work, might be an issue if staying longer than a night or with kids.

It was a reasonable walk to the city.

The facilities were poor. Only 3 large tumbler glasses, we bought wine glasses. No cork screw, we bought one. No dishwasher and no plug in kitchen sink to wash up. Dirty saucepans. One set of same size plates and bowls - not enough. Blind in master bedroom fell off the wall every time you tried to open or close it. Blind in twin bedroom let light in. Shower in shared bathroom didn’t work. Towels were old and mismatched. No bulb in lamp in living room. Sofa stained and extremely uncomfortable. Bed in master bedroom awful, you can feel every spring. Despite QR codes stuck everywhere for WiFi we had to contact host as they did not connect without password which was not in apartment.

The location and the view from the balcony was lovely. There was plenty of room in the apartment with two bathrooms.

The front door could’ve been safer, it was just a turn lock (like a hotel room door) not good when you have children. The sofa was lobsided and had a huge dip in the middle, It ain’t feel very safe. The double bed was terrible, could feel every spring. I had to use a blanket to sleep on top of. The blinds and curtains didn’t seem to fit any windows and there is a huge light outside the window of the two single bed bedroom which shone through the poorly fitted blinds so it was like sleeping in daylight. It wasn’t good. There were no instructions of WiFi or for the kitchen, we placed food and milk in the fridge which was bad in the morning as we didn’t know we had to switch on the power. The en suite wasn’t very clean and was quite dusty and grubby. Also dirty utensils and food stained dishes. No cleaning products ie washing up liquid. Hairs in the single bed and my friend who I travelled with had two bites on her arm after laying down in the single bed to get her little boy to sleep. She didn’t sleep in that bed then.

Value for money for a lovely apartment. Very clean and comfortable.

5 minutes from the city centre.

Could hear the road very loudly in the bedroom. Bed was not very comfortable at all.

As we arrived was we was welcomed with a call to make sure we was ok and had found the property during the call the host had asked if we needed anything dropping or sorting! Offered to sort us some extras for a celebration we was having …… Room was clean, warm and welcoming !! Everything and more for what I wanted for Are nights stay! Host amazing ….. Nothing is too much and answered a call straight away,

I can’t mention anything that I didn’t like if I’m Totally honest……. O maybe one that we didn’t stay longer :-)
