Sapo Rumbia

Location close to the village is good. The village actually is quit boring, very dirty and very jammed with traffic. I recommend visiting the village next to it 'Kaban Jahe' with several old Batak houses and buildings, much cleaner and nicer to walk around in. The staff at the Guesthouse were very friendly and very helpful. There is hot and cold drinking water on every floor, staff was very helpful with providing glasses, teabags, etc.

It is an old building which needs fixing up in many ways but it still has its charmes. But even an old fixer up building can be looking cleaner than this one. It is not easy for the cleaning staff to clean it. For instance the bathroom without a shower with which you can rinse down the walls. They obviously have not been cleaned for a long time. A vacuumcleaner would help so I am not stepping in the dust and hairs of the many guests before me. The dust around the 1 lamp next to the bed made be cough. Alarming I think is that there is no fire alarm in the room, not in ours at least, or in the hallways. Mandatory I would say. A building with a lit of potential but it needs more attention.

Location was good with a short walk into town. The views from the room were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful and arranged a tour guide for us.

TV didn’t work and toilet hose was leaking. Hot water was intermittent but not so much of a problem as weather was very hot.

Great location, Welcoming owner, got good tips for the stay, provided the map for best location to visit. The room is spacious, warm shower, clean and comfy. Services for scooter rental is very helpful. It’s worth the price.
