Eyeful Ella

We didn't know that the room was on the ground floor and did not have a door. The entrance is a window as well. If you want to open a window to ventilate the room, you need to sleep with the door open. This doesn't inspire much confidence. However, the employees were so friendly and helpful that we felt safe.

I can recommend it because the price is very affordable.

Staff was super nice, they made sure we were having a good time and we were comfortable. The location is pretty good, short walk from downtown, and also halway through the entrances to nine arches bridge and little Adam's peak trails.

Staff were amazing, always offering complimentary drinks and they kindly cleaned our clothes for a reasonable price. Shiwa at reception is very kind and was very helpful during our stay. I cannot recommend this place enough! Location is perfect, only a few minute walk to the main town and also walkable to little adams peak.

Nothing it was perfect.

We asked for packed breakfast for our early morning hike to Ella Rock and got a delicious sandwich, fruit juice and some fruit. Highly recommend!

Large and modern room, shower stall was separate so the floor didn't get wet, nice area to sit on the porch, kettle and fridge were great. We were offered coffee/tea several times during our stay. Great location, a bit off the main road but easy walking distance to restaurants, the different sights and hikes in the area. Parking out front was nice and convenient.

When it rains, the fan in the room cannot keep the dampness out, so it did get a bit muggy. Bathroom could have been cleaner. There's a bit of a language barrier, which meant some misunderstandings even when we had answered the same questions from different staff several times. We were asked about breakfast every single time we saw an employee. Difficult to ask about things like getting mugs for the room, new coffee etc. Host would ask for good reviews continuously, even interrupting our conversations. It got a bit much, to be honest. It's a new place so maybe he's being overly eager to please, but it was too much.

Modern and new interior, comfy bed, good breakfast, located very close to the center but still quite, very helpful and kind host, beer is buyable at the hostel.

WiFi is medium. But that was mostly in Sri Lanka so far.
