Beautifully Designed Pollok House

It could have been a lovely house but was in need of care and attention

Dirty and in state of disrepair.Toilet seat hanging off broken hinges on cupboards broken bed in one bedroom Dirt behind chest of drawers including half cigarette. Not enough cutlery for 8 people, small dinning table and only3 chairs. Tops of kitchen cabinets filthy with dirty baking trays and dozens of unopened letters. One member of our group woke first morning having been bitten. I took photos of everything and informed managing agents and they sent a cleaner while we were out.All they did was change bed sheets and hoovered some of the mess up but still left some mess.Applied for compensation but owner felt “enough was done in the time of our stay.Also accused us of putting plastic in oven and lighting it.We didn’t use oven as on first night we put on to preheat and the kitchen filled with smoke. Also had to leave £200 damage waver meant to refund within two days of leaving took me over a week to get it back!

Good location, spacious for 7 people to stay.

The beds! All beds were so uncomfortable, you can feel the springs in each bed itself. Sham to read similar comments and no change as the main part of a stay is the bedrooms itself!

Well equipped house in a quiet area

The main bedroom needs a new bed as the mattress was extremely uncomfortable! Blinds are broken, so didn't close in a couple of the rooms.

The house was located in a quiet residential area. Nice and cosy house for our 8 members. Enjoyed a lot with wide living space and bedrooms. House was fully warmed up before we reached. Thanks for the host. Closer to the island isles like Aaran and millport and Glencoe.

Well appointed and convenient. The decking area outside would be great at a different time of year. The road was quiet and plenty of walks nearby.

I hadn’t realised there would be no tea towels or oven gloves!

Spacious, host were responsive and able to meet your needs as much as possible, very good for a short stay

The bed is a little bit uncomfortable, the bed wasn’t even as few have back condition

The apartment is in great condition and in an a safe and quiet area. Many things can be found in walking distance. Getting to the city center by public transport is not the best (stations are a bit far), but also not too bad. They were able to cater for early check-in.

After booking they are messaging you to place a deposit using their own app (despite I paid in full at the time of booking at Booking.com ). The deposit is 200 GBP that they will give back. This was not stated at the time of booking and it seems unusual (I was actually thinking it is a scam).
