Beautifully Designed Pollok House

Nice size ,location, and how quiet the area was ,easy to find .

This home can take up to 8 people,but only 4 chairs at the dining table and out at the patio area. Outside could do with a gardner to trim back over grown plants, which is growing on decking Kitchen items are poor,mixed sets no full set for 6/8 people,very tired dirty looking oven trays,chipped oven dish.cant fill sink with water as plug broken,but note asking you to wash all dishes before departure felt like we were wasting water. The fridge/ freezer didn't feel cold, but maybe due to all the ice on the back wall, etc, preventing it from working correctly. In general, it could all do with a deep clean, not just a quick wipe. checking all is cleaned and not relying on last guess to clean and wash up behind themselves. The beds are not good. We had to put extra support (pillows and duvet) under mattresses to stop rolling in the middle as bases were not supportive. Some carpets need a good wash or replaced.and floor/ stairs boards very lose,uneven and noisy. Carpets and floors didn't look like they had been cleaned on arrival,crumbs, and bits of paper on them. Blinds in the house have been broken, missing wand so, unable to tilt/ close the slats. Light bulbs,batteries for remote control, not being checked, and i do question if outside bins even getting emptied on service days as overflowing and smelling. Again, note asking to put your rubbish out on departure. 😑 Sadly, this home has so much more to give, and the cleaning and maintenance lets it down. Sadly, we won't be returning.

The location was perfect. Easy to get to City Center and shopping center.

The house was extremely dusty with cobwebs around. A few in our group had sinus and asthma issues and this was a problem. Quite a few things were poorly maintained. The door hinge was falling off, the side table was shaky. It felt like something could break at anytime. Which was frightening since it’s a £200 security deposit for damages that may have already been in the process of happening because of poor maintenance. Advertised as a two bathroom and bath but in reality it’s one and a half bath.

Very well high standards throughout, everything that was needed, added bonus of exceptional West facing decking area.

Nothing to dislike

There are lots of rooms. The environment is very serene, just the perfect place we wanted. It’s very good value for money. Very responsive owner.

It felt like home away from home. I will choose here again whenever I visit Glasgow.

Beautiful house with beautiful furniture it was the style I was definitely looking for 100%. Happy with everything.

Large,clean accommodation in accessible area for travelling around.Owners quick to respond to any queries.

Possibly not set up for longer stays,maybe need more kitchen utensils and equipment for those who want to home cook
