Hotel Milam

We stayed one week. The pool, the whole hotel is very cool and an absolute feel good area. Bed was comfortable The staff is very friendly but besides the concierge personal is not always capable to fulfill the needs (restaurant)

Thru the pool in the room you have to sleep with 21degree Celsius or less Beer costs more than in European top class hotels with night prices of 1000usd we paid less for better drinks… All prices getting topped up on default by 20% service charges Yoga classes etc costs extra (intransparent before) Neighbors building new villas so you should expect some construction sounds Some things are really low cost advertising (umbrellas, towels…) In the villas I think maintenance is needed very soon, some rust is already visible…

Gosh, Hotel Milam was beyond what we expected. The moment we walked in, it felt like stepping right into a dream. The pictures don’t do this place justice—you truly have to be there in person to experience how lavish and thoughtfully designed it is. Our villa was absolutely stunning. Exceptionally clean, beautifully designed, and the highlight was the personal pool with a forest view, and various options for mood lighting. We could not get enough of it. The open-air shower was pure magic. Showering under the sky, surrounded by nature, was an experience in itself. Every little detail felt intentional, making it one of the most luxurious stays we've ever had. The highlight, though, was the concierge service on WhatsApp. Jay and Ara are just brilliant with the guests! We just had to send a message, and whatever we needed was sent to our room promptly. They helped us book taxis, made restaurant reservations, and even gave us directions and suggestions in real time. We are so thankful. But what made the real difference for us were the activities at the property. We tried the ice bath, the yoga sessions, and even the temazcal—and I’m so glad we did. There was so much to do that we never even felt like leaving the hotel. The food was delicious as well. The breakfast, the restaurant, the fresh ingredients—everything was top-notch. Try the Pina Colada!!! Honestly, if you’re thinking about booking—just do it. Milam is pure magic. ✨

We read a lot of reviews where people mentioned that the food and drinks were expensive, but honestly, we found the prices to be the same as any other high-end bar or lounge in the Tulum beach area. We didn’t really notice a difference, and it definitely wasn’t a deal breaker for us. The food at Milam was delicious, fresh, and totally worth it. (But if you want to save money on food - there are much cheaper places to eat in downtown.) Another common complaint we saw was about taxis being expensive—but let’s be real, Tulum’s taxi rates are standard across the board, and there’s not much room for bargaining anyway. The taxi system here is just what it is, and if you’re coming to Tulum (which is an expensive destination in general), it’s something to factor into your budget. Complaining about it doesn’t really make sense. Overall, these weren’t issues for us, and they didn’t take away from the incredible experience we had at Milam!

The staff was amazing the place is gorgeous they really care about every detail they gave us a thoughtful welcome drink.

The pool in the room wasn’t hot enough

Beautiful location filled with so much beautiful scenery. The staff were very accommodating and the restaurant food was delicious.
