Hikkaduwa backyard beach homestay

stopped for a month. the hostess Lalitha cooks very tasty, but you can cook on your own. host Sunil can take you on a motorbike to the market or on an excursion. For any question, you can contact them, they will help, they will always answer.

It was a good experience here, I stayed here last year also and because or good experience I came back to this place, actually value for money, nice homely treatment. Place is situated next to the beach. Overall a good experience.

Everything was wonderful

There was anything everything was very good

It’s very worth it for money. Family is nice and friendly. We had welcome drink 🍹 and tea. Beach is very close. We also had chance to see how is Sri lankan Sambol is made. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean. Food ok. Restaurants and shops are close.

- Room doesn’t have proper window so it was hot inside. Even with fan was about 29 degrees at night. - The backyard is not like on picture but still ok to sit. - The other guest was smoking in same area where we were eating dinner. - When we were about to leave we paid for the food we should receive 1000 rps back. Normally we wouldn't have minded, but no one even tried to refund money. We found it inappropriate. - Not everyone understand correctly ( they have very basic english).

It was very good location. Family have 2 daughters and they were treating me as their daughter too, which was a little uncomfortable. Did not have enough space for me, daughter and her family was following me everywhere. But generally I was very happy to experience local welcoming.

I didn’t like that family could always enter to my room without knocking or watching what I do if my door is open.
