Maruan Sari

The place was beautiful and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We loved the fact that it is surrounded by rice fields but that there are also good restaurants nearby. It was easy and inexpensive to get a Grab to go into Ubud.

We liked the personal, friendly touch of this home stay. With a special welcome drink! The location is peaceful in the middle of rice fields. A beautiful garden with a pool big enough for cooling down. We stayed in the double balcony room. Everything very clean, big comfortable bed. A delicious breakfast! Everyday new water in the fridge. We also were invited to a ceremony at a local temple, a nice way to see a part of Balinese culture. Walking distance to a couple of warungs. It is a bit outside of Ubud, but we liked the tranquility of this place. With taxi (Grab) Ubud can be easily reached if you stay outside rush hour.

Beautiful room, and we were happy with the swimming pool. We enjoyed the ceremony celebration in town, that was special. Close to two very nice waterfalls.

The bicycles were pretty basic. But hey, they were free!

Maruan Sari is just the best place in the whole of Bali! We have stayed in more than 10 different places in Bali and Maruan Sari is by far the best! We came back & extended our stay 5 times because you will not find the more perfect place. It’s in an amazing Balinese village, around you have beautiful rice fields, very quiet & calm, beautiful clean rooms, super refreshing and clean pool, THE BEST BREAKFAST & most wonderful people there! Not far you have everything you need - local warungs, restaurants, shops, etc. If you looking at this place & planning a trip to Bali, please don't look further. This is the place, which makes your time in Bali forgettable.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious variety of options that catered to all tastes. Overall, Maruan Sari exceeded my expectations in every way. I can't wait to return!

The kindness of the managers and how beautiful the place is.

Dewi is very nice host and taking good care of the customers. It's a beautiful place in the middle of the ricefields yet easy to find. I had a wonderfull time and will certainly come back.

Only one minor point to improve is the small bathroom where mixing hot and.cold water.is not easy.
