Large room, spotlessly clean with everything you need and a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. We had our own sunbeds on the beach and there were 2 or 3 restaurant options within minutes, in fact one either side of the property. The family were superb

reasonable number of restaurants around but didn't serve good food, it was off season though.

The accommodation is directly on the beach. You can see a beautiful beach with palm trees from the room. The host family was very kind, they did everything to make us feel comfortable.

We spent here 5 days, but I would recommend less days in this apartment, as the area is not the nicest to rest. It depends on what kind of beach time you prefer on your holiday. Because the ocean is close, but not good for swimming (in October). There is a lot of rubbish next to the sunbeds, that the owners said will collect later. There were a lot of dogs on the beach, which are friendly but can ruin the experience if the dog is still with you after an hour. There were lot of ants in the room, be aware of leaving any food out. The main road and train is close, during the night it is hard to avoid the honkings, even louder than the ocean. But from experience, you can find all these things in other apartments, as well. Carefully decide based on all these. We also got mislead by all the good reviews during our time in Sri Lanka, but they don’t always present the whole picture.

Nothing at all

- the view - the localisation- right in front of ocean - fantastically kind owner of the house (very helpful, gave advice, helped with transport, organising safari trip) - tasty breakfast on the balcony - always warm water under shower (and good pressure) - AC and fan - cute animals all around! Dogs, cats, geckos, squirrels, birds :) - super tasty restaurant right next to (prawn tacos ahh)

- lack of wardrobe - ants entering the room

The host Chappal was very friendly and supportive. He even arranged a scooty for rent at the property only before we arrived. The location is just next to the bus station and train station as well which makes it easier.
