Guests highly rate the friendly staff and frequently praise the beautiful garden.
AUNice bungalows in a convenient location only a few minutes walk from the beach. Very affordable given the quality and location.
FRThe owner was super nice and very helpful, he gave me good recommendations for restaurants in town and activities to do around Nungwi, I had a great stay at tropinest..

GBI recently stayed at Tropinest Bungalow, and it was an amazing experience. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the beach, yet tucked away in a peaceful, green setting. The bungalow itself was cozy, clean, and had a lovely terrace where I could relax and enjoy the garden views which is really amazing garden really nice atmosphere The staff was very welcoming and always ready to help with anything I needed. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with a nice selection of ingredients. I also booked excursion through the hotel, including snorkeling and a sunset cruise, which were well-organized and a highlight of my trip. If you’re looking for a quiet and comfortable place I highly recommend Tropinest Bungalow.

CHLovely garden where you can relax, very helpful staff
GBThe garden, although it could be cleaner. The place has potential. The ginger cat is lovely! Shame the guests have to feed her. The breakfast is generally good but only 10% of the time do you get everything you need. They don't replenish anything like milk, tea etc on time. The girls are good but only speak Swahili and very little English. They do everything.
I was told by a worker there (Hassan) that I was stupid, and he gave me the finger i.e. f**k off as he was trying to get me to pay and I told him I'd already agreed to pay the manager. He got angry and walked away so when he came back and said I had to listen I said well you are rude so I'm not dealing with you. He is apparently the Assistant Manager but likes to sleep late and I've never ever seen him.do anything apart from be on his phone and chat up girls. He's rude aggressive and arrogant. We ran out of water in the private rooms every morning and every evening for 3 days. The plumber guy came but the water only lasted a few hours. I think the pump was broken so owner probably needs a new one. Cleaning is not very good, the girls need some training. You have to ask for.your room to be cleaned. You have to ask for almost everything, to the point that you feel you are not really a guest and I didn't feel that welcome. The place has quite a lot of mosquitoes. At breakfast always something basic missing - tea, milk. Lots of stories about the blender broken so no juice but then you hear the blender going when we have left breakfast. So who is drinking the juice? The staff. The male staff are lazy and sleep late as they are out partying. The girls do all the work. When I arrived no one to greet me then a guy appeared rubbing his eyes all sleepy. Hassan just walked straight past me with no greeting. There was no running water when I arrived to wash my hands. The kitchen is dirty. I managed to speak to the owner, Taha, who was in Egypt and I accused him of taking money from guests but not providing even the most basic services in return and not caring about his guests. His reply was 'this is tanzania' and 'only you are.complaining'. I have friends staying in other guest houses and they have not experienced any problems at all, so it's not Tanzania it's Taha and his staff.
ITAmazing hostel! I spent a couple of nights there, and I felt really welcome. Taha is a great owner and the first day we were day he offered a fresh fish grill to the whole hostel. Location is perfect, only 10 mins walking from beach and Nungwi center and 2/3 mins walking to reach local restaurants and shops. Dorm was clean and bed was the most comfy one but showers and bathroom are outside the dorm itself. They even provide you with 3 different towels! Breakfast it was included and it was really rich (toast, hot dog, fruit, eggs)
