Venn Hostel

There was a lot of noise during the night, with people shouting and playing music until 5–6 a.m., and no staff member intervened to ask them to be quiet. The room also had an unpleasant smell. Additionally, I booked a bus through the hostel, and despite asking several times why it hadn’t arrived, I was only informed an hour later, after repeatedly asking, that my bus had actually been canceled.

What I liked: • Great central location with easy access to cafes, restaurants, night markets, and attractions in Vientiane. • Clean dorms and common areas with a relaxed atmosphere. • Comfortable beds with decent privacy and good air conditioning. • Friendly staff who made check-in easy and were always approachable. • Nice common space to socialize and meet other travelers. • Good value for money for a short stay.

What I didn’t like: • Wi-Fi speed could be inconsistent at certain times. • Bathrooms were clean but could use more frequent maintenance during busy hours. • Limited storage space in the dorm area for larger luggage. • Noise from other guests could sometimes be heard late at night.

Fantastic and hard working staff. Jacque, le concierge extrordinaire, was the epitome of a good host, happy to help out when he could or provide information about the local area, from local food recommendations, to the closest place to buy cigarettes or to book a taxi or shuttle to where you need to be, it was always given with a balance of professionalism, good humour and character. Shout out to Ellie aswell who also was a joy and very welcoming to all the guests. The dorm rooms were always nice and cool with the air-conditioning and quality fittings and curtains made for a comfortable rest.

The house keeping girls have alot of work to do everyday, one more allocated HK staff member helping out at times, or on the extra busy days, would ensure they could get everything done when they need to, but overall they did an amazing job, they were working practically non-stop! I can't say anything was overlooked or neglected, it's just my humble opinion being from a hospitality background myself, I know it can be bloody hard work sometimes!

Das Hostel ist etwas ab von der Innenstadt, man muss circa 15 Minuten zu fuß gehen, die Badezimmer waren nicht all zu sauber
