Ocean Waves

Arrived at very short notice at 4.30am, due to emergency. No guests expected but clear instructions for entry and warm reception from very kind and friendly hosts, next morning. Breakfast was simple but perfect for my needs - toast, fruit , yoghurt, cheese range, cereals.

Julia was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed with a very comfy bed. We had the room overlooking the sea at Gorleston which was lovely to see, with table and chairs inside and on the balcony! We had a good choice of things for our continental breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at Ocean Waves and would have no hesitation in staying here again. We booked the room at the front which has great views out to sea from the balcony and was a lovely spot to chill and watch the world go by before going for a walk along the prom.

Julia is an excellent host and lives in a beautifully kept house The communication was good from start to finish, the room we had was lovely clean and tidy, there is also a sitting room downstairs you can use and seating in the front and back garden you can use we didn't want for anything there is even alittle fridge in the room which Julia had put milk in for our tea/coffee the bonus was having the room with balcony and seaview,breakfast was relaxed round the kitchen table which made a change and even got asked not told when to come down for breakfast plenty of variety too,not a cooked breakfast which made a change more continental would definitely recommend Ocean Waves which I don't say very often and can't wait to stay again ,the beach is across the road down a coastal path or take the steps,if you like tennis the courts 12 to chose from are across the road,it's also a quiet area but not to far away from everything and if you don't want to drive leave the car as the bus passes the door to the centre of Gorleston

❤💕❤💕❤💕 I stayed in the room with a balcony which had a fantastic sea view, a large and extremely comfortable room which was absolutely spotless and had everything I needed including a good sized fridge. The shower was luxury with lots of free toiletries and lovely pure white towels. The bed was huge and so comfortable with fresh, crisp linen. The flat screen tv was great as I could watch tv and log into my prime and netflix accounts, lovely sharp picture. The balcony is much bigger than the photos make it look with pretty planters with colourful flowers and plenty of seating, not only giving a beautiful seaview but it also overlooks the large front garden which is absolutely packed with beautiful plants and well maintained by Julia (I often saw her pottering about caring for the plants, so sweet). Lovely informal breakfast in the huge kitchen diner with a lovely view of the pretty rear garden which was also available to sit out in, everything was just right! There is a beautiful large lounge to enjoy and also a separate large dining room. Lots to see and do in Gorleston, you literally cross the road to tennis courts, basketball courts, children's playground and of course the beautiful clean, sandy beach. Julia is a wonderful and darling host who couldn't do enough to make my stay more comfortable, she is not intrusive but was always on hand if needed. Lots of very interesting and enjoyable chats at breakfast time, I miss her already. See you very soon Julia as I'll be back time and time again. Thank you and very best wishes xx😘
