Foxtail Siargao Island Guesthouse

I’ve like the property because it’s near for city and beach. Have pool also and clean.

Everything is fine. But not good is don’t have electricity we staying 4 nights and we don’t have electricity they are giving you only lights in the room and that’s it and we are asking for some discount because we can’t used air conditioning, lights and etc. But sad to say they are not giving you back we suffer for hot inside the room. Next time better to ask first before you book so that you can’t waist your money because once you book if not good your pay not back.

The staff was cleaning our room and when we got back to the room there were MONEY AND JEWELLERY MISSING. We still had 3 more nights booked, of course we didn’t wanted to stay, but the hotel didn’t agree to give us refund for those 3 nights, and we haven’t got our money and jewellery back. If you want to feel safe, don’t stay there.

The guesthouse is in the heart of General Luna. Amazing location.

The staff was fantastic. Made you feel like family. Great location and rooms were very comfortable.

Very comfy beds and pillows, nice little pool outside and close to lots of restaurants in the heart of general luna. Staff were also lovely.

We checked into the apartment to be told there was no fridge. There were also these tiny biting ants all over the floor and on the sofa, which ended up all over me and in my luggage too. We had to sweep the room ourselves as I don’t think it had been cleaned properly before we checked in. AC worked but very old and loud!

Located in generalluna. Walking distance from the main area of siargao.

Just few minutes walked to resto’s, bar etc. Comfortable bed to sleep, clean room and working aircon. My husband and I were able to sleep soundly. Strong wifi connection. No electricity interruption. Access to pool and open cabinet were we can put our clothes. Our room has balcony too! Accomodating staff and very friendly. We didn’t know that it was fiesta at Genera Luna and they offered us free lunch. Lechon is yummy though.😀 Also if you are looking for a place to stay that is not crowded, less noise and near the restaurants. I would recommend this hotel. My husband and I will definitely go back and will stay longer to explore the island more. 😁

Water pressure is weak in the toilet sink. However. The water pressure in shower and urinal is strong. Understandable since it is an island. No complaints about it. Miscommunication on pick up van transfer in first day but it was sorted out so not a big thing for us. Hoping the next time, they have a cafe serving brelfast and also a mirror in the room (aside from the bathroom)

The location and the staff

The bed only came with a very thin blanket that was not warm enough. The bathroom was not clean and there were a lot of bugs.

Location

1) Shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush, tooth paste were not provided however on booking profile it says they do. 2) My room was on a second floor and they use rooftop as laundry area with metal stairs access. Someone was walking up and down the stairs super loud at nights. 3) Tap water smells really bad, shower had no water pressure so I ended up scooping water. 4) They forgot to clean my room, then they said it’s too late to clean it cuz housekeeping is off work, then they started to excuse that I didn’t leave the key so they were not able to clean it but I know they have another key as just the day before they helped me to open the door with that extra key. After some negotiation they went to clean my room around 18:30 with my key and I left for dinner. When I come back the reception was closed, my room locked and I almost ended up sleeping outside. I had to call their boss who is located in Davao to solve this.
