Atmosphere

A bit run down

Common areas are lovely with a great swimming pool and loads of resting areas. Breakfast was very good. Location is good, right on the beach. Room was big.

Rooms need a bit of renovation in my opinion and also better cleaning. There is a fan but it can get quite hot as no aircon.

it's a lovely place, in an old palace. the rooms are big and charming. the pool is perfect for the heat and the food is very good. the breakfast included is a great thing! all the girls that work at firefly are very nice. my little girl also had a head massage which she loved.

The staff is very polite. The stay is comfortable. It shows the essence of bagamoyo and history

They need extra staff to manage the kitchen. Orders come out very late

Really chill and nice backpacker hotel in a charming historical building with a great pool and great atmosphere! We also booked a safari to Mikumi with a company they recommended and they were super nice and helpful and it worked out just perfectly. Even when we had little problems with a bank delay, the hotel was so nice to help us out and therefor enable the safari trip.
