Blackbrook Lodge Cabin

We really enjoyed the location, and the environment was peaceful and beautiful. The lodge had all the space and items we needed for our stay. It was comfortable, and furnishing was of good quality. The place is larger than appears on the photos. We would highly recommend it to others and would be happy to return.

If you are a bit wobbly on your feet, just be warned that the lodge does have uneven surfaces. Other than that, this place was spot on.

The cabin is located within a campsite for tents and caravans, set next to a large pond and close to a lake popular with anglers. There are also a couple of large static caravans and pods for hire. The cabin is very comfortable with a fully functional kitchen, bathroom with a huge bath and shower and 2 bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and another with 3 bunk beds. It was extremely peaceful.

Lodge was lovely felt homely, lovely wee terraced area able to watch the kids run around happy outside

Honestly I don’t think there was anything. Kids where happy so we were happy short stay but we would be back!

I am very fussy with bathrooms - this was cleaned to a high standard. The view around the pond was lovely, especially from the bedroom!

The outside of the lodge could do with a good paint. The window sills weren’t clean and the sofas need steaming or replacing.

Beautiful area. Cosy, home to home vibe, contained everything that we needed. Comfortable beds, peaceful, safe space for the children to play. Amazingly large bath!

The lovely view from the main room window onto one of two bodies of water was fantastic. Allowed us to spend time recharging our batteries. Property is remote as well so lovely and quiet. Some wildlife there (ducks and geese) to feed as well. Very spacious and had more than what we needed for our trip.

Lovely and clean,well thought out,very spacious,bathroom was very lovely and modern with a great sized shower and bath,everything we needed was there which you don’t normally get,towels,vacuum cleaner,iron and ironing board,cleaning products and cloths,usually you have to bring your own so I was hugely surprised,furniture was good solid quality like the rustic style beds and dining table and chairs,the fact that there are open out/sliding doors from the living room and bedroom is lovely when you want Some fresh air,when it got a little hotter outside it was lovely to take a nap in The bedroom with the sliding door open,so peaceful! They thought of everything very well,there were board games to play and you can borrow books near the shop round the corner

Set in a beautiful location, peaceful and quiet. The lodge was exceptionally clean with everything included. Very comfy beds. Would definitely recommend to couples or families, lovely safe environment.

Stayed in The Lodge, so comfortable so many little touches to make it feel like a home. All you could need in the kitchen. A little oasis of peace, beautiful grounds. Very friendly staff. Will go again.
