Gower Bungalow Mumbles

Booking.com sent me the wrong pin code for the key box. The owner sorted out the issue promptly when I phoned her, This was not the property owners fault. A minorinconvenience.

Only one tiny thing-the bath towels were barely larger than hand towels but I did manage. Lots of spares available at the property so it wasn't anything I'd complain about. That would be the only improvement that could be made.

Great set up with small a bonus. Nice place for a short stay.

Our stay at the bungalow was perfect. The location and view from the dining room window were lovely. The bungalow is very well set out and very cosy. Plenty of cutlery, plates etc. Very clean. The bungalow is situated in a very quiet and peaceful road with no through traffic. The decking area was ideal for sitting out in the morning in the sun. There was a very generous amount of pre paid credit on the electricity meter. The bungalow was extremely good value for money. I would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a secluded getaway in a very busy seaside area. Thanks Paula.

Booking.com confirmation email gave us what turned out to be an incorrect keybox code which we used on arrival. Paula had actually emailed us code that turned out to be correct one but we didn't think we'd need to check that they were same or not. This is fault of booking.com. It would have been nice to be told in advance that the doorbell records images & sounds.

A great location for a base while exploring and walking in The Gower. Clean and comfortable, a cosy little space.

We found this to be an ideal location. Being able to walk to Mumbles and Oystermouth was great. The bungalow is very comfortable. As we visited in the winter, we had shorter days out and long evenings in. The place had everything we needed and we quickly felt at home.

There was a wifi code but couldn't connect. I think the router was switched off.

The bungalow was very well equipped and spacious. The TV was modern and free WiFi was good. The duvet was excellent for this time of year. Parking outside the bungalow was very convenient. The bottle of wine and chocolate biscuits was a lovely welcome.

The only problem we had was with the heating. Bearing in mind that we were probably staying in the wettest, windiest and coldest weekend of the year, it would have been lovely to have the heating adjusted so that the bungalow was warm before 4pm when we arrived back from our outings. Although we could put on the plug in heaters, they took a while to warm the place up so we tended to stay out longer not to come back to a cold bungalow. We were prepared to pay extra for the heating needed for this time of the year. End of November.

We loved the location and the bungalow. It felt homely and the bottle of wine and treats on arrival which was a very nice touch. There are many beautiful walks to do from the bungalow. We will be back.
