"Best place to stay when visiting Bacalar & the lagoon"

Best stay during our 6 weeks trip! Such a lovely place, 20mins drive from Bacalar, but really calm village in the northern, not so crowded part of the lagoon! Founder’s are great help with many things. But also just hanging out at the pool, was amazing LOVED IT ❤️

Casa Cactus ist eine wunderbare, kleine Ruheoase außerhalb von Bacalar. Die kleinen Bungalows sind geräumig und sehr sauber. Der Pool und die Außenanlagen sind sehr gepflegt. Der 'Bürgermeister' des kleinen Ortes kümmert sich um den Garten, die Nachbarin kümmert sich um das Frühstück und die Zimmer und ist die gute Seele des Hauses. Ihre Enkelin hilft, wenn sie kann. So wirkt es, als würde das halbe Dorf zusammenkommen, um dieses Projekt möglich zu machen. Abends haben wir entweder das Essen bei Jey bestellt oder beim 'Asiaten' um die Ecke geholt. Danach saßen wir oft mit den anderen Gästen am Lagerfeuer. Diese Mischung aus jeder kann sein eigenes Ding machen und Gemeinschaft fanden wir sehr besonders. An Silvester hat Jey ein spezielles Silvestermenü angeboten, welches wirklich fantastisch war. Und natürlich die persönliche Empfehlungen für Aktivitäten.

The standard including cleaness at the property, friendly owners and relaxed feel. The meals, both breakfast and dinner were high quality. The sailing trip was memorable. There is access to the Bacalar bay very nearby, where one can chill out and swim with locals. The owners offerred useful tips what to visit.

I did not like anything. We had memorable stay.

It is located in a small village which is good to experience but the property does not have easy access to Bacalar lake.

El trato de María fue excepcional. Muy buena opción si lo que buscas es descansar.

Recomendaría rentar un coche para tener la libertad de moverte por la zona.
