Casa Cactus Buenavista

Très bel établissement tenu par un jeune couple très sympathique qui fait le maximum pour ses clients. Appartement confortable, et propre. Belle piscine au milieu d'un jardin bien entretenu. Nous avons fait une magnifique sortie en voilier avec le propriétaire Sebastian sur la lagune. Petit déjeuner et repas du soir peuvent être pris sur place et sont faits maison.

Le logement se situe dans un petit village un peu isolé, il faut une voiture pour aller à Bacalar (25 minutes)

Nous avons passé un séjour extrêmement agréable à Casa Cactus Buenavista. L'hotel est très beau, les chambres spacieuses et bien décorées et tout est pensé pour que le voyageur se sente bien. Jey et Sebastien sont très chaleureux et les diners proposés par Jey délicieux. Buenavista est un village très calme loin de l'agitation de Bacalar. Je recommande chaleureusement cet hébergement.

L’hôtel est incroyable : propre, intimiste et très bien entretenu. Tout le personnel est aux petits soins et a beaucoup de conseils à partager pour découvrir le coin. Sebastian propose des tours en voilier dans la lagune de Bacalar : c’est un de nos meilleurs souvenirs, nous étions seuls, à l’écart des nombreux bateaux de tourisme, c’était un moment magique.

Nous avions louer une voiture et je pense que c’est préférable pour y séjourner : l’hôtel est un peu à l’écart de Bacalar et cela permet d’être plus libre de ses mouvements

Great location near Bacalaar, only a 30 min drive. Great pool, hosts, very comfortable. Will definitively come back when I go back to Bacalaar.

Showers have a low water flow.

Jasmin and Sebastian were lovely hosts and made our stay at Casa Cactus in Buenavista unforgettable. Everything is to like about Casa Cactus, from the carefully decorated room, to the food that is creative, delicious and fresh, to the garden with beautiful plants, a pool to refresh and attentive staff. To make the most of Casa Cactus I recommend having your own car (although the hosts can help with arranging a taxi). The place is perfect if you are looking to relax, lay back and enjoy nature, but also be able to get to more lively places like Bacalar which is 20-30 mins by car. Jasmin and Sebastian made everything to ensure our stay would be perfect and gave us great advice on things to do and visit to get a real authentic experience. (They suggested a nearby spot for a beach day on the lagoon. The spot was secluded, and felt very intimate and private, with the jungle in the background, it was a bless compared to the crowds in Bacalar. Furthermore Buenavista is a perfect spot to visit Bacalar, but also other attractions nearby like Mahahual, a town on the Caribbean side, the ruins of Chacchoben or doing guided jungle tour.) Be aware there's not much choice for eating out in Buenavista, but you won't need it with the delicious food prepared by Jasmin. We preferred having dinner at Casa Cactus because of how good it was. Me and my girlfriend had the best stay here and would definitely recommend it.
