The food was exceptional, beautifully presented and delicious and hosts Jay and Sebastian were delightful! The suites are well designed, spacious, cool and the bed was so very comfortable. Gardens lush and a beautiful, sparkling pool. Will we be back? FOR SURE!!

We had an amazing time at Casa Cactus. The hosts, Jey and Sébastien, were very kind and welcoming, always ready to offer great advice on places to visit and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in their peaceful and beautiful property, surrounded by a lovely pool and an exotic garden. We highly recommend it – it's the perfect spot if you're looking to experience an authentic village, with a car to explore the surrounding areas. We also had the sailing experience with Sébastien, which was a private and great moment on the lagoon. Thank you, Jey and Sébastien!"

Charming nest and hosts in a peaceful location away from touristy Bacalar - still close to all activities

The hospitality was incredible, the ambiance was really calm and peaceful, and Sebastian and Jay were by far the best hosts I have ever met. I hope we can go back again.

Relaxing and calm place. You feel like in the middle of nowhere. Perfect place to relax. Hosts are really nice. Buenavista is a small village. But all people in village is super friendly. Very nice community. Beautiful garden and clean pool, from water of the lagoon. You can feel the nature.

We didn’t include the breakfast on our booking. So we believe food price could be cheaper for what you get when paid directly on site. Bed was not the most comfy one for us. It was a bit hard but this is always a personal feeling. 😉

This was one of the most special places we stayed during our trip! From the very first moment, Sebastian and Jey made us feel so welcome — like being part of a family. Their warmth, kindness, and care for every little detail created such a beautiful atmosphere. Our 3-year-old son felt completely at home and could move around freely and safely, which made the stay even more relaxing for us as a family. The room was perfect — spacious, comfortable, and ideal for our needs. The homemade food was absolutely delicious, and sharing a meal together felt like dining with friends. We also took a boat tour with them, which was a fantastic and unforgettable experience. The garden and pool area are calm, shady, and full of love for nature — perfect for unwinding. You can feel that everything here is made with heart. If you are looking for a place that is more than just a hotel — a place with soul, genuine hospitality, and a family-friendly atmosphere — this is it. We are so grateful for the time we spent here and hope to return one day!

There was truly nothing we didn’t like — our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer, as our trip had to go on.

Very nice accommodation. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the outdoor sitting area and pool were great. There was plenty of greenery and many birds in the garden. The owner and staff were also very friendly.

The bed was a bit hard, but other than that, everything else was great.
