I spent more than 2 weeks in Mexico with my partner and friends and this was definitely the best accommodation. The rooms are very spacious and nicely designed. I really liked the garden and swimming pool area (very relaxing!). Casa Cactus Buenavista has a great location to explore places like Bacalar, Los Rapidos, Mahahual. Regarding food, the host can prepare it for you if you order in advance (it was so delicious!!!). You can also visit a local restaurant located few minutes on foot from Casa Cactus (there is also an option to have it delivered). Close to Casa Cactus there are also local shops with food, honey, souvenirs. Wifi signal was strong and available everywhere (not only in rooms). Jay and Sebastian are fantastic hosts. They took care of us so well. I felt like at home :) I truly recommend Casa Cactus Buenavista and will definitely go back when I am in Mexico again.

Pioneers Jey & Sebastian have created an oasis of peaceful relaxation in an authentic Mexican village on the edge of Bacalar Lagoon. We loved exploring the area then returning to the comfort of our luxurious cabanas. The hospitality of our hosts knows no bounds. Within hours we felt like family. We wish them every success for the future.

If you visit this area, stay at Casa Cactus! The hosts are the best, the beds are super comfy, everything is clean and well maintained. It's in walking distance to the lagoon. We extended our stay spontaneously.

It was all good.

This place is PERFECT!!! If you are looking for a nice quiet getaway, this is the place! The rooms were spotless, the grounds were beautiful, and the staff was extremely friendly! I've been coming to the the bacalar area for the past 5 years, and this is by far the best place I've stayed. The quality of the rooms and other amenities like the pool are perfectly hidden in a very authentic Mexican Pueblo.

It is a perfect place for a quiet retreat from the normal tourist spots but It is necessary to have a car because it is too far away from bacalar without one. However, if you have a car, the distance is not a problem at all. 20 minutes down the road and all the great restaurants are at your fingertips. But without having to suffer through any of the noise and nightlife! This place is wonderful!

Sebastian and his wife the owners of this «casa» are absolutely nice, careful and all else you could think about a property owners should take care about their clients. You can go there with closed eyes, you and your family will enjoy the experience a lot. The amenities are great including the swimming pool. The rooms are huge and well equipped. Don’t miss it if you are in the area!!!
