Was far from our target destination and cannot be contacted, you cannot message them, i was about to ask them them direction, we ended up riding on a wrong bus

- super herzliches Personal!!! - Essen sehr lecker und reichlich - Personal sehr zuvorkommend: Ich wollte Strom sparen und hatte während ich unterwegs war, den Kotatsu und die Heizung ausgeschalten, als ich zurück kam, war beides an und es empfing mich Wärme 🥰 - ich durfte früher das Zimmer beziehen, obwohl Checkin erst um 14 Uhr gewesen wäre. - Nette Lady am Empfang hat mir direkt anhand eine map erklärt wie ich wohin komme, auch wie ich am besten nach Osaka dann fahre! - musste meine Tattoos nicht abdecken!! - Ausblick auf die Berge! - Yukata sehr schön und bequem

This Ryokan is a hidden gem on the road between Kanazawa and Shirakawa. The meals were absolutely fabulous, and the vicinity to the less touristy Gas’s-Ho villages was super nice! There are some gender separated Onsen on the property though the water was crazy hot! A hidden bonus was the Gass-ho house across the street. It is a great house to explore, and you receive great interpretation in English. We learnt so much, and ate so much :)

Needs an update. Couldn’t tell the original color of the carpet. Maybe because it’s virtually the only game in town, right in the heart of the Gokayama area. Also I got treated weirdly with my dinner when I arrived. No idea why. I showed up on time, was the first guest to register that day, but they decided not to give me dinner though I’d paid for meals in advance. I was sent to a nearby restaurant and told I’d pay for it myself. This was all done in Japanese so I didn’t really understand what was going on. On Google maps it just says Chinese in English, its Japanese name is Kitanoya Shokudo. It somehow gets 3.8 stars, but it was the worst restaurant I have seen in Japan. Unacceptable. It reeked of smoke and had dead bugs lying around everywhere. I got gyoza and got out asap. Topped off with snacks that I brought along. It only happened the once, but it shouldn’t have happened at all.
