More cutlery and plates please

It was okay for the money, I guess. It was a room with 2 bunk-beds and a bathroom. WiFi was good, and the beds were comfortable. Just one towel, but that is because it's self-catering. Bathroom clean. Empty building that looked like summer camp for kids, no one there. Uber from Alton Towers was just 3 pounds :)

Very difficult to find the place. The address is a street name and "Soli hostel", no house number. The big sign at the road into the hostel says Alton Castle... Soli conference... it doesn't say it's a hostel. The place was empty, no lights, no one answered the door. We thought it wasn't the hostel and walked around. We tried calling to the number on the booking and all we heard was a recorded message about some trust and a request to leave a voice msg. We messaged the hostel via Booking.com app and kept searching around until we got a reply.

Genuinely am confused by some of the negative reviews, the church bell rings around every 15 or so minutes but you cannot hear it in your room, was super close to Alton towers and was easy to get to, room was clean and beds while a bit squeaky were very comfy. It’s also very close to a londis and a pub for food
