Golden Butterfly Villa

Golden Butterfly Villa has to be the best hotel in Siem Reap. The managers and staff are so kind and helpful it was an absolute joy to stay here. Nothing is too much trouble and the team are able to answer any reservations or questions which may arise. It's perfect.

Very calm and peaceful evenings. Nice ambiance. Staff was extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Bottled water was available 24/7. Close, couple minutes walk to the markets/nightlife but tucked away in a quiet side street. About 7km from Angkor Wat so easy enough with a bike or tuk-tuks. Easy scooter rental through the hotel as well. Great little restaurant (name: Angkor Hand- Pulled Noodles and Dumplings) about 50 meters from the entrance. 5 min walk to 7-Eleven. 5 min walk to Riverside/street food, old market, etc.

Really great staff. Very professional and friendly. Ready to help with anything, including tips on how to use basic Khmer language correctly. Very much appreciated! Central location. Just a couple of minutes on foot to local eateries. Free room upgrade during my stay. Spacious and clean. Recommended!

There is no lift/elevator. This was no problem for me, but would be difficult for the elderly or disabled.

Exceptional staff that go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. Great location within walking distance to the city centre. Secure parking is available for rental motorcycles and the hotel also provides free bikes for use.

The Golden Butterfly was located in a perfect spot, walking distance of most important things and restaurants, but also not right next to the hustle and bustle. The staff were probably the best staff I've experienced anywhere. They always tried to make our trip and stay better, and we almost always had a long conversation with them, making us feel like friends. The room was as good as you can get for the price too and accomodated all our needs. I would 100% recommend it.

Beware of lizards coming in if you open the balcony door, not that they'll harm you!
