The cottage

The location was beautiful. Quiet, on a working farm with lovely countryside views and the sight and sound of sheep all around.

Everything we needed for a five night stay. Beautiful setting and Jan was very helpful. Lots to see and do in the local area.

The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Communication from the hosts was brilliant throughout the visit. Nice walk into the town through the fields - took about 20mins. Nook farm cafe up the road is worth a visit - lovely cake. Plenty of walks with the dog. Value for money for the size of the property. Would definetly return.

Welcoming, perfectly equipped, gorgeous rural location

A 10+ from a family of siblings visiting our mother's family birthplace of Alston and Kirkaugh from Western Australia. The cottage has beautiful views, the most comfortable beds, and is beautifully decorated. We have loved our stay here, thank you, Jan.

Not a thing to "not like"

Everything, couldn’t fault a thing about our stay, the facilities were spot on would thoroughly recommend The Cottage. Thank you.

It felt really homely and the cottage was very nice. A traditional cottage with beams and thick stone walls with lovely views and a lovely location.

I didn't find the sofas very comfortable but the beds were nice.

Clean throughout, location & general homely feel. Not a cobweb in sight & high ceilings too!
