Sweeney Hall Hotel

The room smelt odd and musty. The bedding and pillows were feather we asked for anti allergy ones and were told someone was using them. We had an odd nights sleep without bedding.

Location perfect for the Oswestry Antique Fair. Dinner was very good. Wonderful old building and superb grounds.

The bed was very high and my wife struggled to climb into bed.e

Had a really lovely stay in a peaceful setting. Also had dinner at the hotel which was delicious!

WiFi did not work. Password incorrect. My party had to leave before breakfast, host not willing to provide breakfast 15minutes early. My shower did not work, water merely dripped from shower head. I was unable to wash. The toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall There was very little toilet roll. Windows had no locks. Bannister to staircase was extremely wobbly and in fact unsafe. Etc etc

Room 7, nothing major just some routine maintenance & ideas for upgrades: No secondary door security eg chain Rim lock catch on yale-type lock not working (might be deliberate) Wardrobe doors need adjusting to not snag draw below Some loose trim next to toilet No usb charging points Door closer too aggressive Latch on door to adjacent room (probably a cupboard) didn't lock Tea etc on low table Twin taps dated Not clear what wall switch outside bathroom did
