Sweeney Hall Hotel

Lovely building. The room was very large, which was good. It was sold as a King sized room. The room was a fantastic size. The restaurant was set out lovely. Very airy indeed. Made for a lovely experience.

The bed was very small and looked like it was thrown together with different pieces of wood. There was lots of noise from other guests, and also, the windows were not double glazed. There was Storm Dave to contend with so the noise from the wind was absolutely horrendous, both in the bathroom and bedroom. The bed was incredibly high, and quite small for 2 people, which for saying it was a king sized room, the bed didn’t reflect this unfortunately. Pictures of the male standing next to the bed, for reference. Also, and rather unfortunately, I wasn’t too hungry, so I ordered chips and coleslaw. I was gutted when they arrived, the portion size was great, but that’s where it stopped. There was no taste to any of it. That being said, my husbands steak was perfect, his whole meal was great. The mayo was homemade, which would have been great if it had any taste. The texture was amazing. Staff were great too.

Perfect. Went to see the grand children and daughter. This hotel is lovely and just a minutes drive from her door. We've used it countless times and never been disappointed.

The room was absolutely beautiful. The main window featured a stunning view over the vast property. Our bed was so comforable that sleep came easily. Our lovely bathroom featured a jacuzzi tub that was luxury after a long drive.

My husband is disabled and has difficulty climbing stairs. An elevator would have helped him tremendously. While we had an offer of help to bring our luggage down as we were leaving, there was no one available to help us with our bags upon arrival.

Such a breath of fresh air to find a properly family run hotel that goes over and above to make sure you are well looked after. They were so helpful after we checked in. Staff very kindly allowed us to switch rooms after we discovered the double bed was going to be a bit too high and too small for my husband to deal with after his op..can't praise them enough. Food is also excellent! We will be back.
