"Exceptional"

10.0

Our stay at Llangattock Park House exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, Catherine and Rory made us feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, full of character, impeccably maintained, and surrounded by stunning scenery. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, making it both comfortable and memorable. What truly made our stay special, however, was the hospitality. Catherine and Rory were exceptionally kind, attentive, and generous with their time, offering recommendations, helping with anything we needed, and making us feel more like guests in a home than visitors at a property. The breakfast was exceptional and deserves a special mention. Everything was freshly prepared using high-quality local ingredients, and each morning felt like a real treat. It was one of the best breakfasts we've had during our travels. We have stayed in many places over the years, and this was genuinely one of the most memorable. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend Llangattock Park House to anyone looking for a special stay in a beautiful setting. Thank you, Catherine and Rory, for such a wonderful experience!

"We found a gem in the mountains of Brecon!"

10.0

The property, its heritage and location is incredible. The opportunity to stay in a grade II listed building and learn of its history in the surroundings of the Brecon beacons is delightful. Catherine and Rory are amazing hosts and delivered an experience which is not often found these days. It is a shame we didn't have more time to just sit and relax in the grounds. The landscape, garden and mature trees is an ideal place to sit and let the world go by. We will certainly be visiting Llangattock house again and the wonderful area around CrickHowell.

There is nothing negative for this property.

"Lieu parfait pour explorer la région"

10.0

Tout est parfait. La chambre est remise à neuf mais avec le charme de l’époque. Le service est de loin le meilleur jamais reçu. Une adresse obligatoire au pays de Galles.

"We were hoping for a nice b&b but what we got was 5 star accommodation and service but that’s what we got"

10.0

It is incredible, beautifully decorated in period style, exceptionally comfortable, so much attention to detail- beautiful gardens too

It is nestled inside a modern estate but that’s not really a distraction, once inside the gates it feels like another world! One small observation would be that the bathroom products could be improved to match the rest of the service.

"A fantastic place to stay in every way."

10.0

Big thanks to our hosts, Catherine and Rory — they are a truly wonderful couple, incredibly helpful, and they made our stay feel completely like home. The breakfast was exceptional, with ingredients sourced from local farms and cooked to absolute perfection. It’s the kind of breakfast any Michelin‑star chef would be jealous of. The location is perfect too, with several lovely hiking trails within walking distance, and only about a 30‑minute drive from Pen y Fan. Amazing property with a rich historic background and beautifully maintained grounds. The house itself feels like stepping into another era — full of character, charm, and incredible attention to detail. Our room was pure magic. The ambience felt like something straight out of a Victorian fairy‑tale novel — warm, romantic, and wonderfully atmospheric. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. There’s also a lovely local pub and restaurant within safe walking distance from the house, which is perfect after a day of exploring. And it would be impossible not to mention Crickhowell village, just across the historic Crickhowell Bridge — practically a stone’s throw from Llangattock. The village is full of history, boutique shops, cafés, and great places to eat.

"The most relaxing stay I've had in a very long time."

10.0

Everything far exceeded expectations. The hosts Catherine and Rory were fantastic. The house and grounds were beautiful and tranquil, the room was very comfortable and the bed was perfect - not too soft, not too hard. There were several options for breakfast and cooked perfectly. I wouldn't hesitate to book again next time. Thank you!

I wouldn't change anything - nothing I didn't like.

"This is a special place to stay and we look forward to returning."

10.0

Rory and Katherine are wonderful, welcoming hosts. Plentiful and delicious breakfast with an excellent choice of cooked options. Rooms are spacious , comfortable and clean with beautiful period furniture and decor. The location was quiet but with easy access to the main road. There are lovely views over the garden with mountains beyond from every window. We cannot fault anything and we will be back.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

"Wonderful wedding weekend in Wales"

10.0

We spent a wonderful long weekend here with our families for our wedding in September. If we could give a higher rating for this beautiful home we would. It is a stunning and surprisingly secluded spot that is a destination in its own right. The restoration work that Cath and Rory have done is remarkable and alongside the setting their hospitality was very much an important part of helping to make our wedding so memorable for us. They are both exceedingly gracious hosts, going above and beyond in making us all feel very comfortable ahead of the big day. We really couldn’t have asked for anything more and we are certain that we will return in future.

"Sheer Perfection!"

10.0

I love travelling and have visited many towns and cities both within the UK and abroad. Sadly, so often the accommodation I have stayed in has been easily forgettable. I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, however having been treated to exceptional accommodation, wonderful hospitality and delicious breakfasts I felt it only right to provide feedback on this occasion. Llangattock Park House is a gorgeous historic building lovingly cared for and owned by Catherine and Rory. My suite which was beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished was huge and had not one but two bathrooms, one of which had an amazing canopy bath, there were beautiful views from my room over Table Mountain. My friend also stayed at Llangattock Park House and had a gorgeous suite comprising of a bedroom with half-tester bed, sitting room, bathroom and there was also a huge twin bedroom. We were served delicious home-made Welsh cakes with tea and coffee when we arrived and were able to spend time together both in my suite and that of my friends - just perfect for catching up on old times. Breakfast! Served in the beautiful dining room - white table cloths, proper napkins in rings, bone china. On both mornings we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast, freshly prepared for us which set us up for the day, we weren’t looking for anything to eat until early evening. I had researched accommodation in the area prior to booking, some far less appealing establishments were charging more and were not offering breakfast in the price. I cannot recommend my entire experience at Llangattock Park House highly enough, delightful hosts who ensure that everything you require is provided (including personalised print outs of road trips and walks in the local area), superb value for money, first class accommodation, masses of parking, a gorgeous garden and summerhouse to relax in and delicious freshly cooked breakfasts. If you are lucky enough to stay here you will not be disappointed.
