Nothing, was not good

They ask for a 10 on WhatsApp that’s why it has a good rating but it’s bad. Lot of noices. Bathrooms are so so dirty. Insects in the shower. Toilet hasn’t been cleaned in 3 days(all the days we stayed there). The same dirt was on the toilet everyday. Floor was dirty. Beds and especially the pillows are bad. Could be a nice place for what it looks like but unfortunately isn’t..

Spotty internet at times. Recommend a filtered water station on second floor.

Faultless place to stay. Really helpful staff via WhatsApp and on site guest assistant. Self check in was welcome. Cannot fault the place. Would recommend. They have some deals with neighbouring cafes and restaurants to avail of discounts. A/C was very effective which was important given the heat.

This was a great stay! The AC in the room worked great and the kitchen area has complementary bread from a local bakery! There is a purified water dispenser and utensils! Our room was quite spacious even with three people and the bathroom was just down the hall. The hosts were excellent at communicating and super responsive. They also had tons of recommendations for things to do.

The floorboards were quite creaky as the building is simply built that way, and there was only one toilet and shower on each floor.

A modern, comfortable and central guest house in the heart of George Town. It is situated in the centre of main attractions including Chinatown, Little India, Armenian Street, and local hawker centres. All staff were incredible and very responsive, even providing a list of local attractions, eateries and conveniences on our arrival. We were told upon arrival that the guest house was undergoing renovations (which was totally fine), and the staff kindly provided ear plugs for the noise. We also had a lovely room upgrade, which clean, modern, and spacious. Although the kitchen is minimal, the fridge, filtered water, tea and coffee, and complimentary bread is wonderful! Bed was comfortable, despite the heat.

Be aware that there are no windows in the bedroom or bathroom, so there is no natural light or ventilation (this was fine for us as we were out and about during the day). Although it is not the fault of the staff, the air conditioning and fan provided was not sufficient to combat the heat. We sweltered through five hot and humid nights in Penang, which was quite uncomfortable. Also, the towels and shower mat was not replaced during our stay. Otherwise, everything was great!
