Hanayashiki Ukifune-en

The public baths were spacious, clean, and absolutely a joy to use. And the view from the room was perfectly peaceful. Couldn't wake up to a better view. Plus the futons were cozy and far exceeded my expectations in comfort. We've had worse beds in actual modern hotels.

The in-room toilet room could do with a little modernization. They're not completely terrible. They still have the bidet and heated seats, but they don't compare to a public toilets found in malls in the bigger cities for example. Understandably though, this is a ryokan, and was a simpler room which has a more traditional Japanese appeal so I expected things to be a bit less modern. Definitely not a deal breaker. Local walkable restaurant and convenience stores were also a bit sparse. The restaurants near aren't bad, just there's less choices to make compared to a larger city where there's endless options.

This was a beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms, amazing views and fantastic food. I wish we had planned to stay longer!

Its a bit out of the way from a lot of major sites, this would be a good place to stay if you wanted a slower pace of trip

I really like the relaxing atmosphere of the place.

La vue magnifique. Le onsen incroyable. Le petit-déjeuner. Les futons agréables.

La fenêtre qui ne s'ouvre pas. L'humidité dans les chambres qui provoque des odeurs désagréables.

This was the highlight of our trip. I wish I booked more nights. Book the breakfast and dinner it is worth the experience.

De kamer en het uitzicht waren echt fantastisch. Ook de onsen waren erg fijn. Ontbijt was ook een leuke ervaring. We reizen met jonge kinderen en gelukkig was deze kamer redelijk geluidsproof. Bij twijfel zou ik echt voor deze ryokan kiezen

Het is erg prijzig, maar dat is iedere ryokan. We zijn blij dat we het gedaan hebben.
