Hanayashiki Ukifune-en

The hotel is located just next to the Uji River, and the view from our room is spectacular! The room is very spacious, the beds are comfy and there’s also a massage chair! The staff are extremely helpful and polite.

La situation géographique, le onsen, tout le nécessaire dans la salle de bain , la vue sur la rivière, le personnel très gentil.

Les restaurants ferment tôt , très tôt , et du coup toujours plein, il faudrait manger à 17:00( pas possible)

If you want to have a quiet night at Uji, this hotel will be a good choice. It’s next to the Uji river and has a walkable distance to Byodoin and Uji shrine. Wish we have time to stay here for few more nights next time.

The area is definitely worth exploring, and the onsen/sento experiencing. Great area.

Incredible location and views. Short walk from many shrines in Uji and a ~30 minute train to Kyoto station. Rooms are air conditioned and have balconies facing the river Uji for a stunning morning view. Staff are super friendly and kind.

The bathroom facilities (bathroom, shower and toilet) were a little run down. The door into the bath room had some wear and tear/markings and looked a little dirty.

Nonostante la tipicità delle stanze Giapponesi la struttura era molto vecchia e sporca, non rispecchia le aspettative mostrate in foto, grande potenziale ma tutta da ristrutturare Wi-Fi inutilizzabile, la connessione è instabile

Le uniche due cose positive di questa struttura sono, a mio parere, la vista sul fiume dalla camera e la vicinanza (circa 10 minuti a piedi) ad una famosa attrazione.

La camera scelta era una economy ma penso di non aver mai soggiornato in una camera peggiore. Il bagno era vecchio, con pezzi rotti, non pulito; penso che l'ultimo rinnovo risalga agli anni '70. Un dito di polvere era presente sulle prese della corrente. La tappezzeria sui muri era rotta in piu' punti, il paravento presentava piu' di un rattoppo. I letti erano appoggiati per terra; non erano per nulla comodi. Il prezzo corrisposto non rispecchia nemmeno lontanamente il servizio fornito. Il parcheggio é a lato strada (molto stretta).

We stayed in two rooms as a family of 5: one Yamabuki and one Botan. Both are renovated with taste, very design and beds were perfectly confortable. The personal are very kind. It is perfectly located near the river and historic center ! Overall we loved our stay.

The overall hotel needs renovation but they are working on it.
